Photoshop-wise, i actually did not use gradient overlays. I use an airbrush and make that layer a "multiply", so when i paint it makes softer transition from blue to orange. I try not to use gradient overlays b/c i believe its actually a bad habit at times.
B'awww. Did you use a gradient on the Cecilia piece?
