Below are design exploration/concepts for an animation project this Fall. His name is Tilson, and he is a cyborg redneck who lives in a junkyard, heehee. So far I am going with the first design-painting but i did the other two based from my sketchbook drawings and research,
I also was recently offered the great opportunity to be a children's book illustrator for a project at the Museum of Cultural Arts of Houston (MOCAH). Its for a good cause and i am happy to be part of something like this :)
This is such a cool concept! They all look so good. I especially love that top one. I like how his lower body is so thin compared to his giant belly and thick neck. It's a nice touch. (:
ReplyDeleteAw yeah! I'm loving these designs. I really like all of them, though I feel the top one needs to have his robotic arm and fingers extend away from his body (just to have the silhouette read better). Other than that, I really like how each design has its own personality and how you played with the shapes of each character. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteAlso, congrats on the children's book opportunity! :D
Thanks a bunch guys! :D
ReplyDelete@Rachel, yeah i will revisit that hand and extend the fingers out more. Thank you for bringing that up though :)
